Please let me start by saying Feel NO Obligation, we are just putting this out there......
Stel is doing the Canuck Place Innovative Fitness Adventure Challenge again this year and could really use your support.
As many of you know, Sebastian is having a very hard time right now, but fighting hard and without Canuck Place we do not know how we could have gotten him through. On April 18th 2008, Sebastian's breathing deteriorated significantly. He was rushed to BC Children's Hospital and transferred straight to the ICU as a bed was prepared for him at Canuck Place Children's Hospice. Doctors were very clear that Sebastian did not have long left. As we watched him over the next few days we also did not feel he could fight his way through this time but he did. On the 20th of April with a fantastic doctor at his side Sebastian went totally blue, passed out - he had no pulse, the doctor said his brain stem was shutting down, at 5 minutes he took a breath. He is amazing. At this time he holds his breath and passes out frequently and we hope each time that he will take another breath. There is nothing we can do to help him or stop this, we are just trying to keep him happy and comfortable as he continues to decline.
For Sebastian Stel is doing this Adventure Challenge again this year. This year our really great friend Suzanne has decided to take on this challenge as his partner!! Way to go team Scattered Limbs!!!
